About

Ana Gimenez Ponzzoli is the co-founder of Ducha de Sol, a socio-environmental NGO established in June 2017 with her father, Angel Gimenez. The organization addresses the needs of low-income communities in Argentina by providing solutions for heating, cooling, and access to hot water through solar energy. Ducha de Sol offers a simple, low-cost method for individuals to create and install solar technologies at home using repurposed plastic waste materials.

Ana Gimenez Ponzzoli has received numerous awards for her work with Ducha de Sol, including the Outstanding Young Mendocinos Award in November 2018 from the Mendocino Business Council and the Transforming Minds award in 2017 from the Nobleza Obliga Foundation and Argentina’s Ministry of Social Development.
